Emily Sabino

Statement

My paintings are a slow burn, an escape from a fast paced, digital world, expressing a more elemental connection with the sun, moon, stars, water, plants, trees and all living things. My aim is to capture a slice of the earth magic and expanded perspective that is available to all when listening to the natural world.  I am inspired by mystical lyrics from timeless troubadour songs, where meaning changes and unfolds slowly after repeated listenings. My favorite time to paint is in the early morning, just after sunrise, when there is good natural light and I can best translate quiet subconscious impressions from the darkness into healing and hopeful future scenes.

Here is is a Huffington Post article about my healing work, music and art:

Energetic Healing Through Rhythm and Sound

“Our goal with music and healing is to encourage people to be their best selves, and to feel a connection with nature and one another, to be spreaders of positive vibrations, and to trust those intuitive directives, especially when they go against oppressive systems.” Emily Sabino, Healer and Musician, Newcastle, Maine I’m the type of person who listens closely to a song’s lyrics.
